A few minutes before this solo canoeist had slowly made his way across a thick bank of fog on Pog Lake in Algonquin Park, Ontario. I watched as he cautiously proceeded and eventually went through a narrows. I scrambled through the thick forest to see if I could catch a glimpse of him. This is what he and I both saw. The sun was burning off the mist in that section of lake. Rising wisps of golden fog twirled around him. This mesmerizing sight stopped both of us. He just sat still and "Took It All In".
